Engineering internships in the UK offer a unique opportunity for non-native English speakers to enhance their language skills while gaining practical experience. Your placement will span between 1 to 12 months in accordance with GAE visa requirements. Opportunities are available across the UK, and in recent years, we’ve successfully placed students in dynamic locations such as Central London, the historic railway town of Crewe, and Derby, a city celebrated for its rich heritage in transport manufacturing.

Hospitality Training Programme

This program offers a flexible English course—available in  options—paired with a paid hospitality work placement. It’s the perfect opportunity to enhance your English skills while gaining practical, real-world experience in the hospitality industry.

The Republic of Ireland has a huge shortfall of labour in the hospitality sector, especially in the more rural, naturally beautiful locations. 

We do not offer any placements in city locations, therefore if you join this programme you should expect to be placed in a rural, touristic location.

This programme combines a 4, 8 or 12 week English course at our school in Dublin school with the option of taking on a complimentary service where we organise a paid work experience in the hospitality sector to complete your English Language development.

 

What’s included

  • Twin e-Learning access from the time of booking until three months after you have completed the programme 4, 8 or 12 weeks of General English tuition (15 hours per week, 9:00am - 12:30pm Monday to Friday)
  • One to One CV Improvement Session with a Twin Work Placement Officer
  • Paid work experience of 4-12 months (optional)
  • Access to our multilingual student placement team for help and support
  • Letter of Reference (on completion of work placement)
  • Twin Certificate of Achievement (on completion of work placement)
  • Arrangement of your accommodation at the host organisation, but rent is still required to be paid (usually ranging from €100-€200 per week but this varies from company to company)

  • Accommodation during the duration of the English language course (4 to 12 weeks) Cost: €265 Half Board single in homestay or student residence from €365 per week for single, with en-suite bathroom. (Students are free to book accommodation independently)
  • During the work experience placement, the majority of students will
    be accommodated by their employers, usually in the hotel’s staff housing.
  • This housing is subsidised by your employer, and will usually cost
    €100 to €200 per week depending on your location.
  • The provision of food is dependent on your employer; some employers will provide all meals throughout the week and weekend.

  • EU nationals or with the right to work in the Republic of Ireland
  • Minimum English Level: B1 (to also be assessed by Twin during interview)

All candidates on the HTP programme will be paid the Irish minimum wage (at least €10.16 for 18 years, €11.43 for 19 years and €12.70 for 20 years and over) and positions will be given based on your level of experience.
